Editor-in-Chief of Upscale Magazine.

Victory. It is a big word with an even bigger meaning. According to Merriam-Webster, it means: "Achievement of mastery or success in a struggle or endeavor against odds or difficulties." It speaks to life’s challenges and more important, it speaks to the strength that we pull on to overcome them. For me, it is by grace that I have made it thus far.

There have been times when I wanted wave the white flag of surrender. It is in those times of seeming defeat, however, when I turn to the source of my inspiration, and draw on the spirit that has helped sustain me through ALL things. One thing I know for certain, Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win.  In order to have victory you must first win. That means you must never give up, never give out or never give in.

20 years ago Upscale was just a dream. There is a saying, "Yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision, but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope."  We never lost site of our dreams, we never lost site of our vision-we made it a habit to live each and every day to the fullest.  We realized that we had the power to shrink our dreams to fit our reality or the power to stretch our reality to fit our dream.

Though there were many obstacles and challenges that came our way, we used them as stepping-stones, taking us to the next level.  Each level was another victory won.  20 years later, we are standing strong and standing proud – we have the victory.

Bronner credits her energy and commitment to Upscale, to the people who influence her life.

"I have many role models. It’s all about pulling the best from everyone around me, my family, spiritual leaders, successful businessmen and women," says Bronner. "Whether it’s learning how to raise my kids, be a good wife, strengthening my morals and values or running a successful business, I seek to draw from people that have traveled the road that I am on."
