Living Life After Tragedy
Living Life After Tragedy
by Loretta "Faith" Harris, M.Ed.
So, how do you pick up the pieces after the winds and waves of life has apparently knocked you so far to the ground that it seems nearly impossible to recover? What I am about to say may sound like a cliché, but it’s not. You are out for the count and there is no HELP in sight!
Tell you what, TRUST GOD!
(Ever) Feel like giving up?
(Ever) Feel like giving up?
by Jewel Diamond Taylor
The enemy has a set up to make you want to give up. The set up comes in the form of suicide, depression, apathy and defeat.
A song that inspires me when I’m feeling discouraged is by gospel artist Marvin Sapp …"This is not the time and this not the place to give up."
Even though "the thought" is in your head…let it pass.
Your pain is real and no one is denying that. You are not alone in your struggle. And there are countless people with testimonies of surviving what you are going through and much worse.
It’s a New Season
It’s a New Season
by Pastor Sam Livingston
One of the most intriguing things I believe is the changing of the seasons. We all experience winter, spring, summer and fall each of which has a unique flavor to it. Regardless of the season, we have learned how to make the necessary adjustment to become comfortable. When it is hot in the summer we turn on the air conditioner. When it gets cold in the winter we turn the heaters on. When it is a cool spring or fall day we open the windows and doors. Nevertheless, we have learned to adjust with the seasons of nature. Like the seasons of nature, the seasons of God (spiritual seasons) revolves as well.

Victory. It is a big word with an even bigger meaning. According to Merriam-Webster, it means: "Achievement of mastery or success in a struggle or endeavor against odds or difficulties." It speaks to life’s challenges and more important, it speaks to the strength that we pull on to overcome them. For me, it is by grace that I have made it thus far.
There comes a time in our lives that we MUST deal with the situations.
There comes a time in our lives that we MUST deal with the situations.
by Vanessa Richardson
It was a winter wonderland. The tree limbs hung limp, burden from the fallen snow. The moon was full, illuminating the night with its revealing presence. Confused, she continued her lone walk. She was hurting, not a physical hurt. She thought to herself; that would have been easier to deal with. Alas, this was an emotional hurt. The wind pulled mercilessly at her trench coat. The woman ignored its pull; not even the rapid falling of the snow could stop her painful sojourn.
That Was Then, This is Now, This Broken Vessel Restored
That Was Then, This is Now, This Broken Vessel Restored by Paulette Harper
Who would have ever thought that God had called me to tell the whole world my story? A woman of God called to endure every set back, adversity and the disappointments that life could bring. But this was exactly the destiny God had for me. I realized that every test and trial I have faced in life was forcing me to go on a journey that God had designed for me long before I was created, a journey filled with tears, headaches, anguish, joy and laughter.
