Don’t get bitter, get better
Don’t get bitter, get better
by Paulette Harper
And she said to them, Call me not Naomi [pleasant]; call me Mara [bitter], for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. I went out full, but the Lord has brought me home again empty. Why call me Naomi, since the Lord has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?
Ruth 1:20-22 (Amplified Bible)
If you have never read this story, here we have a woman whose life was drastically changed. First, she and her husband, Elimelech, and their two sons left Bethlehem because of a severe famine. Looking for a better life, they journeyed to Moab. While in Moab, Naomi’s husband, Elimelech, dies, and ten years later, her two sons die, leaving her to care for her two daughters-in-law. Naomi decided to return to Bethlehem, but upon returning she has no husband or sons, instead a bitter heart.
The Certain Ones: You’re not forsaken. You’re Chosen for Purpose.
Author and poet Vanessa Richardson shares her testimony about being diagnosed with a rare disesase, Catamenial Pneumothorax. Resources are included after the article.
The year: 1999 – Age: 24 – Am I forsaken?
“Ms. Richardson?”
My name being hailed pulled me from my quiet appraisal of the handsome soap opera star I was watching on the small television in the waiting room.
Standing I approached the X-ray technician and my heart plummeted. In his eyes was that of concern. I recognized the “look” as I often time gave them, when offering comfort to someone in pain.
Faith Plus Hope Equals Victory
Faith plus Hope Equals Victory – but you gotta believe you can fly!
by Carenda Lynch
To walk in victory, to me, is literally rooted on the foundation of faith and the substance of hope. If one finds themselves feeling hopeless it is impossible to activate faith and reap the unseen evidence of it. If we are going to walk in victory we must take action.
The word tells us that faith without works is dead. Many of us must understand and appreciate that victory comes from pursuing purpose. I believe that a seed, called vision, is planted in us but when the enemy attempts to attack and deceive us he rather us be a victim than a victor.
With Elevation, There’s Tribulation
With Elevation, There’s Tribulation, But You Must Have Expectation That VICTORY Will Come!
by E. Claudette Freeman
August 2007; I will never forget it. That is the month that I finally stepped into the path that God had paved for me. It was a time of realizing that everything else had been preparation. It was also the realization that when God says move out of preparation into practice, we must do that immediately or our victory can be marred by unnecessary tribulation.
PODCAST | What does it mean to be in love?
Hello everyone! I’m Kimberly Cash Tate and I am excited and honored to have the second stop of my In Love Virtual Book & Podcast Tour celebrating the release of my new novel, Heavenly Places, right here at The Faith Channel @ AAKultureZone.com!
In Heavenly Places, you will meet, Treva Langston a beautiful and intelligent woman who is married to a God-fearing man who loves her, and mother to three wonderful daughters who adore her. So why doesn’t her loving family bring her joy? Well, Treva had had such a negative upbringing that she couldn’t appreciate true love when it came along. She had a husband who showed her the love of God but she took that love for granted. When she came to know the Lord for herself, she still didn’t understand the power that was at her disposal. She didn’t know that she possessed the very love that would bless her beyond belief and heal the wounds of her past.
So my virtual tour podcast for you today is about — Love!

I’m Coming Down Your Street…Where Are Ya?

Allow me to preface this by saying that I am neither a preacher nor a pastor. To be quite honest, I am not even a blogger. I am simply a man that God blessed with a unique gift of wordplay. It is not my journey in life to show off my eloquence of speech or to show myself to be more articulate than I am. I am a merely a humble servant of Jesus Christ, the savior and Lord of my soul. In my limited amount of time in my Christian walk, I have found that my greatest calling will be to elevate those who are less fortunate.
