Double Dutch is a digital magazine for multicultural, teen girls ages 12-17. Double Dutch is a magazine created for girls who live in urban communities or follow urban trends. Double Dutch has the same format of a print magazine, but can be viewed online. It is a New York City-based magazine that is published on a quarterly basis (four times per year).

Developing success in our children begins when we align our vision with God’s. Generally our vision of success is is direct contrast to God’s vision. His vision of success doesn’t entail materialism. It doesn’t include a fancy car, a nice home, or a substantial bank account. Instead God’s view of success is determined when the child can live a fulfilled life before God and man, exhibiting obedience to God’s will, and maintaining a loving relationship with his parents.

Nothing saddened me more than the fact that three of my African American female students had no idea what the term “lynching” meant. These were otherwise, decently educated young black women seeking a career in the medical field.
During our exploration of medical ethics, we were watching a film about the “Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment” which took place in the 1930’s. This experiment was responsible for the spreading of syphilis to thousands of African American people in Tuskegee, Alabama.
Youth Talk
Its 2008 and our world is constantly changing, but where are we headed? I hear my parents talk about the good old days and I am concerned that as I mature I won‘t be able to have similar reflections. Our living rooms are invaded with television images of the war in Iraq, drugs and its negative effects on society, domestic violence, child abuse, date rape, tainted food, unsafe toys, AIDS and homelessness.
Black Family Technology Awareness Week Celebrates a Decade of Discovery (Feb. 10-16)
Baltimore, MD (BlackNews.com) – The National Black Family Technology Awareness Campaign, will celebrate the tenth annual Black Family Technology Awareness Week (BFTAW), February 10th – 16th, 2008.
BFTAW is a national public awareness campaign designed to encourage more African Americans to incorporate technology into their daily lives. Partners and corporate supporters for this year’s campaign include the IBM Corporation, EMC, the US Navy, the Lockheed Martin Corporation, the National Black Data Processing Associates and NACME (National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering).
