Tyora Moody is a writer, blogger, book reviewer and graphics designer. In 2006, she officially started writing on a regular basis again after a long dry period. Tyora enjoys reading and writing mystery/suspense novels. In the near future, she hopes to join the ranks of published Christian Fiction authors that she enjoys reading. She is a member of ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers), Christian Fiction Blog Alliance and several other online writing groups. Tyora loves to encourage and promote authors. How We Began
This site originally started as a monthly column by TheGRITS.com’s, Marlive Harris. Marlive, a former classroom teacher and school librarian in Texas, is fondly known among online literary circles as MsGRITS, an acronym for Ms Girl Raised/Reading In The South. It is her love for literature, African American Literature in particular, which led to the development of TheGRITS.com, an online reading community and book promotion service for readers, writers, and small presses. TheGRITS.com celebrates over 5 years of reading excellence online!

In 2008, we started periodically adding book reviews to this site.
Tavares. S. Carney is the President and CEO of Echelon Entertainment, a boutique promotions company which promotes uplifting and positive books, music, theatrical works, businesses and events. The primary vision of Echelon Entertainment is to inspire, motivate and encourage. Tavares is a book reviewer of primarily Christian fiction, and also considers romance, self-help and some mainstream literature for review. She is also a contributor to the Motown Writers Network blog and the Sankofa Literary Society. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
